About the service
WorkWell – Employment Support for those with health conditions and/or disabilities
A light touch service that supports individuals with health-related barriers to find or stay in employment
This includes support to find or retain work; one-to-one coaching; an assessment of work-related barriers due to health or disability; personalised support planning and making connections with other services in the area

Non Clinical Support given by Coventry & Warwickshire WorkWell service
- Development of a personalised support plan to achieve set goals
- 1:1 coaching
- Confidence building and disclosure techniques
- Up-skilling and training opportunities
- Finding available employment opportunities
- Understanding individuals rights and laws in the workplace
- Supporting conversations with the employer
- Making workplace adjustment(s)
- Development of Return to Work plans
- Barrier-breaking workshops
- Signposting into other local support services
Eligibility criteria
Available to: All areas: Coventry, Rugby, N & S Warwickshire
- Aged 16+, lives in, or is registered with a GP in Coventry or Warwickshire
End date: 31 March 2029
Referral criteria:
- Employment status:
◦ In work but employment risk (off sick or at risk of being off; or at risk of leaving/losing work), or
◦ Recently unemployed (ideally less than 6 months), or
◦ Having difficulties finding work, or staying in employment
- Has problems with employment due to a health condition or disability
- Has the right to work in the UK
- Is willing to regularly engage with a WorkWell Coach for employment-related support
Other employment support services
If your patient is already accessing one of these services, employment support is available as part of their treatment through that service:

- NHS Talking Therapies (see link)
There are other employment support services provided Coventry and Warwickshire Councils. If you are unsure which employment support service to refer to, refer to WorkWell who will connect with other employment-related support services in your area.
