Coventry and Rugby UTCs are both managed by the Emergency Division, and have access to emergency medicine phone advice as required.

Patients over the age of five with minor injuries and illnesses can attend Rugby Urgent Treatment Centre, where trained nursing staff will undertake an assessment and give advice and treatment.

Rugby UTC X-ray access 0900-2200hrs (please note outside of those hours there is a local access pathway with University Hospital ED for Rugby UTC patients)

Minor injuries and illnesses treated include; small wounds (cuts/ grazes), animal bites/stings, sports injuries, minor burns, suspected broken bones, skin conditions (including minor rashes), and ear and throat infections.

• Patients with moderate/ serious illness or injury, under 5’s, surgical/ cardiac conditions or pregnancy related conditions are referred from the UTC or transferred by ambulance to UHCW
