Neurology – First Seizure/Fit Neurosciences – University Hospital Coventry – RKB

Please refer any patients that you strongly suspect of having experienced a First Seizure/Fit to this service and ensure you attach a copy of any ecg done at the time

This referral option has been added so first fit patients are not waiting too long and are prioritised for triaging and allocating an appointment if needed

Inclusion criteria

Patient 17 or over wih a suspected first seizure or fit

Exclusion criteria

Please do not refer patients with a suspected syncope to this service:  simple faints/vasovagal syncope’s do not need referral at all and suspected cardiac syncope should be referred to the cardiology run Transient Loss of Consciousness Clinic
